Recommended sites

There are a number of excellent sites that covers great physics content. The ones recommend is only a very short lis (there are way too many to review) but provide a good start to consolidate your understanding. They are in no particular order and I will add to the list over time.

  • pHET - This excellent site, run from the University of Colorado has a wealth of animations on a variety of physics topics, as well as some math and biology. A number of my videos incorporate animations from here. Definitely bookmark

  • Walter-Fendt Interactives - Another great site with numerous html5 animations to support your learning 

  • OpenStax College Physics - Openstax, from Rice university provide a whole range on free online texts for colleges and universities. Their text for college physics is algebra based and the depth is geared to 1st year college/univeristy. If you are doing high school physics at a senior level, then this will be fine. If you log in you can save chapters and highlight. There is even an option to buy a print copy at a reasonable price. Excellent resource, and check out their other texts.

  • The Physics Hypertextbook - a great site of online physics content produce by another teacher. Lots of content, as well as sample problems . His explanations are clear though he does use calculus in his explanations.

  • Hyperphysics - Hyperphysics, from Georgia State University has been around for a while. They structure the content more as summaries but the nice thing is that they're all linked like concept maps. Some of the descriptions are calculus based so go a little deeper than high school, but they also have text boxes where you can enter stat into formulas and see the resulting calculations
