We now apply the principles of electric charges, fields, and voltage to electrical circuits.

In its simplest form, a power source (such as a battery) provides a potential difference, or voltage. This creates an electric field within the wiring, causing electric charges (electrons) to flow at a specific rate known as the current.

However, this rate is not determined by voltage alone—it also depends on the resistance of the circuit. Resistance transforms the electrical energy carried by the charges into other forms, such as light and heat.

These lessons provide an overview of the key principles of circuit electricity, including circuit types, Ohm's law, and electrical power.
