Michelle Wong, aka Labmuffin is a youtube creator and blogger whose mission is to review beauty products and expose the myths behind them, using her deep understanding of chemistry (she has a PhD in Chemistry) and science in general. In this podcast we talk about what she does, how she got started and why she sees her work as important to help the public understand science better and to make more informed decisions on beauty products, from everything from sunscreens, cleaners and cosmetics. Chris Ferrie's expertise is quantum computing but seeing a need, he started writing children's books with decidedly strong science themes, and as a result increase science understanding in the parents reading them to their children. With over 60 titles and over a million sold, Chris has communicated science in an innovative way and getting attention for it. My latest podcast is a real treat, especially for educators... Carl Wieman won the Nobel Prize for Physics in 2001 for his work on Bose Einstein Condensate. He then used his prize money to start pHET Animations, which I am sure many of you know of. He is internationally renowned for his work on improving the teaching of physics through researched based practices. Neil Atkin is founder of the charity "Rubbish Science", through Operation Orphan. The aim : to empower people, especially in developing nations, to improve the quality of life by using resources such as rubbish to develop solutions to every day problems and in doing so use and teach scientific literacy skills He has spent time with the Rohingya refugees in Malaysia, worked with orphans on the rubbish dumps of Sierra Leone, as well as Nepal and Kenya On top of this he has authored numerous science books, trained teacher in South west England and even worked with Arsenal Football club We talk about his work, his passion for science, and why it is important in developing nations

Michael Gregory, set out to ride across Canada to see what teachers are doing in the classroom to engage their students. This started a journey that has not only led him to other countries, but also start a Science camp that brings together students from around the world to explore science in a practical and engaging way. Tara Murphy is an astrophysicist whose claim to fame is that she and her team discovered the radio emissions of the first neutron merger that was detected by LIGO in 2017. On top of this she studies massive objects such as black holes and neutron stars. And on top of this she communicates science through public talks and writing as well her love of coding. And she love apocalyptic literature!edit.
Meet Dr Luke Barnes. Luke is an astrophysicist, based at Western Sydney University, He also communicates science through a number of ways, including public lectures an school talks.
